Phuket is probably Thailand’s biggest dive centre, owing to the sheer number of divers who opt to explore the clear blue ocean from her shores. The island is a popular resort and the tourist beaches are quite spread out; therefore, several Phuket dive companies operate out of each area. The busier places have a dozen or more to choose from, while even the remote Nai Yang Beach in the north has Phuket dive operators set up for convenience.

Patong dive operators in Phuket
Santana: another company based at Patong Beach providing trips and courses to meet all scuba diving needs. They’ve been around for some 25 years and include live aboard trips into Burma, along with day trips and courses.
Mermaid Live Aboards: specialise in longer diving trips to places as far flung as Komodo in Bali and Mergui in Burma, as well as offering PADI diving courses.
