PHUKET’S first water park will finally open its gates in January offering seven zones themed around parts of the world.
Mai Khao’s West Sands Splash Jungle boasts a large wave pool, lazy river, aquarium and a wide variety of rides and attractions around the North Pole, Africa, Asia, Inca Mayas, Northern Europe, North America and Asia.
Foreigners can enjoy a special introductory rate of 1,795 baht for adults and 1,050 baht for children until the end of April.
Thai residents can enjoy the park at a rate of 1,500 baht plus a 10 per cent service charge and seven per cent VAT. After April, admission charges will rise to THB 2000.
One-hundred-and-six units will open at the West Sands Residences and Resort next month, with a total of 426 available by the end of November.
A proposed Outrigger managed hotel was cancelled late in 2009 due to the ongoing global financial crisis.
