The Andaman coast is one of the world’s most photogenic. Pictures of the Thailand islands off Phuket are found on tropical holiday brochures all over the world and we’ve assembled some of the best island pictures we could find of Thailand.
Within a few hours boat ride of Phuket – which is technically an island itself – are some of the most famous islands in Thailand. Pictures of Phi Phi Ley island featured in the movie The Beach and the the famous James Bond island put Southern Thailand on the map in The Man with the Golden Gun. In fact the whole of Pha Nga is full of islands consisting of little more than sheer karst rock and they make great pictures for photographers of all ability.

Other island destinations in Thailand which are near Phuket include the Similan and Surin islands which are unspoilt tropical paradises with little development and make for serene pictures of your Thailand island escape.

Phuket is the largest of the Thailand islands and within the same region as Pha Nga Bay, Khao Lak, Krabi, Phi Phi island and Lanta islands. It can be reached by car, boat or plane and has the best tourist infrastructure in Thailand. A number of small local islands are also located off the east side of the Phuket.
