Rawai and Nai Harn beach pictures Phuket
These two beaches are the place to go if you want to escape all the tourists and there’s a good reason why the area is popular with local residents. These pictures of Rawai and Nai Harn beach show an altogether quieter, less glamorous side of Phuket that is unpretentious and far less developed.
Rawai and Nai Harn beaches are found at the southern tip of Phuket island and are known for great seafood and a departure point for speed boat daytrips to surrounding islands of Bon, Coral, Phi Phi and Racha islands.
With a sweeping bay and lovely island views, Rawai beach is a scenic Phuket spot for picnicking but is not noted as a swimming beach. Pictures of Rawai are typified by a quiet, almost deserted beach which is ideal for sun bathing and lying low. Nai Harn Beach is fronted by temple land along much of its length and sandwiched by an inland lake.

Promthep cape is a scenic promontory near Rawai Beach which is popular for taking pictures, especially at sunset, but it does get a little crowded with tour buses. If you want to get pictures of the more rugged side of Phuket this is the area to head for.
Nai Harn Beach - popular with European visitors – is less developed than other beaches on the west coast of Phuket. It is very popular with local expats and a good selection of international restaurants, pubs, bakeries, cafes and herbal saunas.
