Patong Beach pictures Phuket
Patong Beach is perhaps the busiest area on Phuket and we’ve tried to capture some of its character with these pictures. Patong can be busy and ugly in parts, but exciting – yet for every one of the ‘nasty touristy pictures’ there are a dozen fantastic angles of the beach.
These pictures of Patong will hopefully give you an impression of what to expect, from rows of loungers and umbrellas to full length pictures of the beach front, the inviting sea and the evening character.
Patong is the sort of place where you can wander off the beach into a lively bar or nice seaside restaurant for a slow intoxicating lunch. Or you can suddenly go shopping for a sarong and some sun cream. It’s a lively beach for those who like to be part of an atmosphere.

These Patong beach pictures show just why it’s one of Phuket’s most popular tourist magnets. You can quietly relax on the beach, having drinks and snacks brought to you by vendors or wander into Patong town when you’ve had enough of the sun.
Patong boasts lovely white sand and clear, swimmable, waters, as well as a picturesque backdrop of palm trees. It’s also long enough that you can wander away from the busy areas and find your own quiet spot.
Patong is located on the west coast of Phuket about two thirds of the way down the island, with easy access to Phuket Town and the adjacent beaches of Patong and Kamala. Journey time to the airport is about 30 to 40 minutes. It does have some high-rise apartments and beachfront resorts towards it’s northern and southern ends.
