Kata Beach pictures Phuket
Kata Beach is a smaller quieter beach south of Kata and even further away from the central tourist magnet of Patong. These pictures of Kata beach show that it’s ideal for a quiet relaxing holiday with an unpretentious character, perfect for families or private couples.
At Kata Beach, many hotels and resorts line the roads back from the beachfront with all tastes and budgets catered for. There are also some absolute beachfront resorts. The beach is smaller than some of the others and certainly not crowded with rows of sun loungers and umbrellas. It also has some lovely views of the small off-shore islands.
If you’re looking to escape the crowds these pictures of Kata Beach should help you make up your mind when planning your trip to Phuket.

Kata beach boasts tropical palms, white sands, calm azure waters and general pictures of serenity. It’s far quieter than some of the really big resort beaches and is best for simply relaxing and enjoying some peace and quiet.
Kata village is an international affair with restaurants offering cuisines from around the globe. A popular family spot is Dino Park with Jurassic-themed dining and mini-golf course set among roaring beasts and a billowing volcano. Nightlife is low-key, ranging from small bars to clubs with live bands.
Kata is about 20 to 30 minutes drive from Patong and up to 40 minutes to Phuket Town, if the traffic is busy. It can take up to an hour to get to the airport in the North, if you travel in the early evening traffic.
