Karon Beach pictures Phuket
Karon Beach is popular with families and these pictures show just why. This stretch of a postcard perfect strip of white sand is just south of Patong, but entirely different from the lively, noisy Patong town with its adult entertainment and endless shops.
Pictures of Karon Beach are typified by the white powder sand beach lined with small dunes and pandanus palms. There is plenty of public access to this beach, which is divided into Karon Yai - with seemingly miles of uncluttered deckchairs and occasional ice-cream vendors, and Karon Noi which some people seem to think belongs exclusively to Le Meridien Resort.

The open spaces of Karon Beach make it one of the most popular on Phuket. A cluster of oceanfront guest houses and resorts also sit modestly in the tropical forest of the adjoining Karon headland with access to the beach below.
Finding a beachfront resort in Karon might be a bit difficult for many are located on the hills behind, but the beach is only a few minutes walk away and once you’re there you feel like it has successfully retained its natural appeal, as these pictures show.
Karon Beach is located just south of Patong Beach, over a small headland, and can be reached within twenty minutes from Phuket town but is about 45 minutes drive from the airport in the North.
